“Every nationaround the globe needs to have the political will to fight this disease.” After Gordon A. Youngman received his Master’s Degree in Public Health from Vanderbilt University in the early 1980s, he was invited to join Dr.Jonathan Mann on a trip to Africa. They were to assist in the study of a mysterious “wasting disease” that was killing hundreds of people. Little did they know that the disease was Two decades later, Gordon continues his work on HIV and AIDS as a health consultant, dealing with gay and bisexual men’s health issues in the United States and Europe. He is also a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Nanaimo, British Columbia. PWRDF is grateful and values the expertise of Gordon as a volunteer consultant on HIV and AIDS issues.
