Commitment Ceremony
Sheila Ritson-Bennett, President of PWRDF Board and Diana Mavunduse PWRDF Communications Coordinator led commitment ceremony using water as a symbol of tears.
We bring tears of those living positively with HIV and AIDS,
We bring tears of orphans who have lost their parents,
We bring tears of grandmothers looking after their grandchildren,
We bring tears of those affected and infected by HIV and AIDS.
Today the tears of the world are in this bowl….
Who can wipe away these tears..?
It takes all of us in this room today to make a stand and speak out for what is right…
Together we can wipe away these tears,
Together we can stop AIDS….This is our Commitment.
