New Donor Relations Officer Welcomed to PWRDF February 27, 2009
The Primate's World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF) is pleased to welcome Patience Mbwizhu to its staff team. Patience begins her position as PWRDF’s Donor Relations Officer on March 2.
In its 2007-2010 strategic planning period, PWRDF is undertaking major fundraising initiatives to build capacity and long-term sustainability. As part of these initiatives, through the 50th anniversary program, there is a concerted effort to raise awareness, enhance educational levels and fundraise to ensure ongoing support for PWRDF development partners overseas and in Canada. Patience will facilitate the building of relationships with parishes, dioceses and parishioners through June 2010 and report directly to the Financial Development Coordinator.
Patience brings a wide range of experience to this position. She has a post graduate diploma in fundraising and volunteer management from Humber College. She has worked with donor and prospect databases as well as supporting boards of directors at Knox College in Toronto and a local church board. Her experience and ability to communicate with constituents will enhance her position at PWRDF.
