For A Generation Without AIDS Video/DVD and Study Guide

May 1, 2004

FOR A GENERATION WITHOUT AIDS is a two-part video launched as part of the Partnership for Life campaign of the Primates Fund.  The video is an excellent tool to help raise awareness about the devastating impact of HIV/AIDS around the world.  In this video, PWRDF reveals a few of the faces behind the overwhelming statistics and shares compelling stories of individuals who bear the brunt of the burden of HIV/AIDS every day, and who still manage to make a positive difference in their own lives and in the interest of generations to come.

Part 1 of the video highlights the work of PWRDF partners in Uganda and their efforts in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Part 2 is an HIV/AIDS presentation by Stephen Lewis to the meeting of the General Synod in June 2004.

The Study Guide  provides a sample outline for planning a 1/2 day Partnership for Life educational session and viewing of the video.  The guide also includes examples of PWRDF projects that address HIV/AIDS, facts and figures about HIV/AIDS, and a list of resources and organizations working on this issue.
