Activities include: advocacy; workshops and conferences; counseling; human rights; media; peer education; prevention and outreach; information and referral; resource centre; sexuality; sexually transmitted disease; research; violence; production of harm reduction tools and materials for Indigenous populations including: adolescents; youth; men; persons living with/and affected by HIV and/or AIDS; street youth; women.
Project summary
2-Spirited People of the 1st Nations is a non-profit social service organization whose membership consists of Aboriginal lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans-gendered people in Toronto. The organization’s programs and services include HIV and AIDS education, outreach and prevention, support and counseling for two-spirited people and others living with and affected by HIV and AIDS.
