Itelvina lives with AIDS. She is a very active member of Nivenyee. She received training through Nivenyee on how to use herbal therapy to offset the impact of opportunistic diseases that are often associated with AIDS.

Project: Support for People Living with AIDS, Nampula - Mozambique
Activities include: Providing practical support to persons living with HIV or AIDS by referring them to ARV drug programs; providing legal counsel and protecting the rights of PLWA by advocating for better living conditions; providing emotional and practical support to AIDS orphans; providing home visits to PLWA and helping with food parcels and emotional support; providing community education about preventing HIV infection and de-stigmatization of the disease.
Project summary
This organization was formed by people living with AIDS trying to find solutions to their problems and to provide support to families and individuals affected and infected by AIDS. The membership is predominantly women.
