What is the PWRDF Offering Envelope
The PWRDF Offering Envelope Program provides free offering envelopes for two years to churches wishing to join the program. The boxed set of 52 offering envelopes,personalized with individual parish identification, includes 12 PWRDF envelopes spaced at monthly intervals with short stories of some of the work supported by The Primate's World Relief and Development Fund. This will allow offering envelope contributors to read a short story about the work of PWRDF as they make their regular contribution to the parish. If your parish would like to contribute all or a portion of PWRDF's costs to help reduce administration costs, we thank you.
Who pays for the envelopes?
For the first two years PWRDF will cover the cost of all 52 envelopes and will bill parishes only for GST, shipping costs and any extra options selected. After two years in the program PWRDF will pay only for the 12 PWRDF envelopes included in each box. Individual parishes will be billed for the cost of their envelopes, shipping, GST and any extra options.
Why is PWRDF doing this?
The Anglican Church of Canada created PWRDF in 1959 to respond to emergencies and to implement a sustainable development program as an expression of our Anglican mission. The Offering Envelope Program provides an important opportunity to:
- Include PWRDF as part of your parish stewardship and outreach;
- Increase giving to PWRDF;
- Foster an understanding of PWRDF's ministry through short stories on the envelopes.
How do we order the offering envelopes?
To take advantage of PWRDF's bulk rate contract with Post Church Envelopes, you need to complete and return your order form to them as soon as possible. Their contact information is given at the bottom of the order form, which is returned directly to Post Church Envelopes. Order form (pdf version)
Can we include special envelopes in our boxes?
Yes, envelopes for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, numbered but without church name can be included at a cost of 4 cents per envelope. Other special envelopes for the Building Fund, Cemetery Fund, Good Friday, etc. can also be requested. Please contact Post Church Envelopes for pricing.
Can we use our own design for the envelopes
Yes, as long as the design can be applied to dollar-sized envelopes printed on the flap side. Three standard design options are given on the back of the order form. You can also order coloured envelopes, or white envelopes with either green or maroon border.
